9:00 am - 4:00 pm This is a 2 day class, beginning Wednesday, November 20, 9 - 4 and ending November 21, 9 - 12
Make a naturally elegant bench with hand tools. Learn or practice the basics with this functional, rustic seat! Participants will chose from a pine or hardwood plank from a variety of options, including ones with live edges, then shape the legs on the shavehorse.
This simple design doesn’t need stretchers so it comes together very quickly. No previous woodworking experience is necessary; this class is suited to both beginners and those with previous experience.
After the legs have been glued and wedged, the bench will sit overnight to allow the glue to dry. On the following day, we will finish up the bench in the morning, then it’s yours to take home!
November 20, 9 – 4 and November 21, 9 – 12
Cost: $140, includes tuition and materials; all tools will be available to borrow, some to purchase
