Position: Program Director
Tear Cap Workshops seeks an enthusiastic Program Director to join our team. The successful candidate will have non-profit experience and be passionate about our mission to enhance creative opportunities in western Maine. Experience managing programs and office administration skills preferred.
The Program Director will report to the Executive Director and will be an integral contributor to the organization’s successful operation. The ideal candidate will be a collaborative, organized and imaginative partner, helping to direct current programs, conceptualize possible future initiatives, and develop the processes and relationships necessary to achieve them. The position is responsible for the day-to-day operational requirements that ensure the success of those programs and workshops, including budgeting, fiscal and project management, and evaluation.
The Program Director should have an appreciation and understanding of the mission and vision of Tear Cap Workshops, enhancing communications through social media, newsletters, and various marketing tools.
Responsibilities include:
– Program development: scheduling, writing program descriptions, and hosting hands-on programs in a variety of creative disciplines (woodworking, fiber arts, basket weaving, stone wall building, pottery, and more)
Budgeting and grant writing and fiscal management
Communications and Marketing
Assist in the management and oversight of Tear Cap workspaces, namely the Community Woodworking Shop
The position is hybrid, with flexible work hours, but availability on some weekends for workshops is a must.
Job Type: Part-time, 25 hours per week
Pay: $30,000 – $36,000 per year based upon experience
